Difference Makers' consulting group is led by Michelle Schatz, CPA. After receiving her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Accountancy, Michelle led domestic and international audit engagements for some of Jacksonville's largest public and private businesses for PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC). She expanded her skillset by holding leadership roles within PSS World Medical, later acquired by McKesson Corporation. Michelle advanced quickly through PSS, moving from Manager of Internal Audit to Senior Director of Accounting/Controller. She led the SEC Reporting and Technical accounting teams, as well as the day-to-day accounting operations of the company's corporate division, working through over twenty acquisitions and divestitures and numerous new accounting pronouncements during her tenure.
Michelle moved to the private company sector as the Vice President of Financial Reporting for The Safariland Group, and led the Company's global accounting team as Corporate Controller shortly thereafter. She maneuvered the Company through seven domestic and international acquisitions in three years, ERP software conversions and integrations, debt restructurings, and multiple site consolidations. Michelle believes her exposure to the fast-paced atmosphere and transactional complexity of the companies she's served to be the difference she can bring to your company.
